thank you

The Equality Ride stopped at my former higher education institution this past weekend. I'm not sure of the reaction since I had to work at my j-o-b during their visit. However, I did attend the potluck yesterday. It was so refreshing to hear their thoughts and opinions. To be surrounded in a safe environment. The panel involved discussing the "T" in GLBT (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender). It was very informative and something in my spirit really resonated with the chosen riders who spoke. You guys are my heroes! Continue to fight against oppression (pertaining to sexuality, class-ism, race, etc).

I love the City.
I love the sights and sounds.
I love the constant busy-ness.

relationships
3 things I commit to:
I will always love you
I deeply care for you
I only want your best interest, even if that means not dating me
3 things I hope you remember:
I'm not angry at you
I don't hate you
You are worth someone caring for and about you
3 things that remind me I'm human:
It hurts too much to be your friend right now
I won't bounce back as fast as I really want
Pushing through the pain too quickly will only hurt more
3 things I wish:
I would have been good enough for you
I had gotten more time to prove myself to you
I was worth the effort a relationship takes
I will always love you
I deeply care for you
I only want your best interest, even if that means not dating me

windows
Crawl through the Window:
1. India small business/micro-enterprise team
2. Eastern University and missionyear
3. Ilsan Village and HOLT
The doors of normalcy and conformity are dead. The time has come to give up on doors and find a window to climb through. It's a little more dangerous and may get you into some trouble, but it is a heck of a lot more fun. And the people who have changed the world have always been the risk-takers who climb through windows while the rest of the world just walks in and out of doors. 119Crawl through the window. Inspiring thought for a daredevil such as I. Someone who doesn't enjoy rules and purposely finds ways around them. Crawl through the window... opportunities to do so (on my mind at the moment):

hello
Being ill has its advantages, like getting to watch TV and catch up on episodes missed.
Someday, I will find someone worth saying "Hello" to (reference to Grey's Anatomy, Season 5.3).
In episode 3 of the 5th season, a patient firmly believes he only suffers bad luck. Karev assures and persuades the patient his luck will turn, "There must be something you can look forward to."
"Well, there's this girl in the produce section... if I wake up from this surgery, I'll go say hello."
One day, I'll find someone worthy of my "Hello."

i am sam
While watching i am sam today, I gained some insight on my passion. I want to be a voice for those excluded. I don't know if that means writing or film or photography. Media is such a powerful venue. I have little skill at the moment in those three categories. However, I can and do write. It is perhaps where I have the most experience and perhaps the most influence right now....
God, perfect and refine this passion to bring awareness to the masses of those in our blinders. Remind us how we are all your children.
